Seeing a Doctor or Nurse

The standard we aim for:

• Urgent problems – Speak to a health professional on the same day.
• Routine – See the doctor or nurse of your choice, within ten working days.

Enhanced Access

In order to improve access to General Practice services, and promote good health for all the population, from October 2022, GP Practices across the country have been asked to offer more appointments to patients, across the PCN, outside of their current core opening hours of 08:00-18:30 and Swaffham & Downham Primary Care Network will be providing these services.

Registrar Appointments

Appointments with a registrar for a birth or death can now be booked via the council customer service centre on 0344 800 8020. Customers can call between 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday and book their appointment to register a birth or death. This can be done at the best office for them, at the earliest or most convenient time.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
